How Do I Hang or Wall-Mount My Neon Light?
Setting up your LED neon sign is quick and straightforward. Our signs are designed to be lightweight, easy to handle, and simple to install without specialist tools.
Most signs weigh around 6–11 lb (3–5 kg) and are supplied with an acrylic backboard that has pre-drilled holes, making both hanging and wall mounting easy.
Wall-Mounting Your Neon Sign
For a neat and secure finish, wall mounting is a popular option. We recommend using one of our Wall Mounting Kits, which are designed specifically for our signs.
Please note:
- Wall mounting kits must be ordered together with the sign
- The backboard hole size is prepared during production
Wall mounting works especially well for permanent installations and creates a clean, professional look in homes, offices, and retail spaces.
Hanging Your Neon Sign
If you’d prefer a floating or suspended appearance, your sign can be hung using a Sign Hanging Kit or suitable hardware from a local store.
Common hanging methods include:
- Strong fishing wire, securely knotted
- Rope that is rated to support the sign’s weight
- Heavy-duty removable hooks, using multiple hooks to distribute the load
This setup is ideal for windows, events, exhibitions, or temporary displays.
Alternative Installation Methods
Depending on your surface and setup, you may also consider:
- Standard screws and wall plugs
- Adhesive mounting strips (recommended only for smooth surfaces and lighter signs)
Always make sure the wall or surface can safely support the full weight of the sign.
